Too afraid or not afraid enough.
Most of us are somewhere in the middle. We recognize that a terrible thing is happening and we want to do what we can to not make it worse. But how are we supposed to do that?
What do you think happens when you tell people the promises of the Gospel? You’ve been given the same authority to go around saying, “Repent. Believe. Follow Jesus. Your sins are forgiven.”

We’re the body of Christ, Christ and the church are one, and this is how Jesus—if He was a wife, or a husband, or a father, or a child, or a slave, or a master—this is how He would treat people. It’s how He wants us to treat each other. We are to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Love each other out of reverence for Christ.
